Finesse Photography is run by Elizabeth and Patrick Gailer. We are a husband and wife team who delight in capturing rich, expressive images. We like nothing better than producing images that delight you. Patrick: I have been involved in photography since early school years, practising on my mother's old rangefinder Agfa camera. I helped produce the images for the High School magazines. I learnt the fundamentals of photography by shooting in manual mode and processing and printing all my work. From there I went on to develop my skills in the area of journalistic photography in the role of photographer for Suburban Newspapers. Here I enjoyed many and varied assignments across the Auckland and North Shore region. Elizabeth and I formed Finesse Photography as an outlet for our love for photography. We really enjoy producing work that results in highly satisfied photographic customers. We consider quality, integrity, service and spectacular results as the cornerstones of our business ethic and practice. I'm always upskilling, researching and investing for the best possible photographic outcomes. Elizabeth: By Pat's reckoning, I am the "Finesse" in Finesse Photography due to my artistic eye for detail. I accompany Pat on every shoot and provide far more than your usual photographic assistant. As well as shooting from another angle, I plan and organise weddings and portraits and coordinate posing, clothing details and people management. I am also fully involved in the creative process both pre and post-production. As the Director of the Company I ensure that quality is maintained and am responsible for that extra flourish that makes Finesse Photography that bit different. I notice things that photographers sometimes miss when they're in the thick of things during a busy shoot.
